June 23rd, 2009 Posted in TVs
I will be fulltiming in my RV and want TV and internet connections. Is there a satellite I can install that won’t charge me a monthly hook-up fee?

when you say “hook-up fee” do you mean just like a supposed one-time activation fee, similar to the fee you pay when you start cellular phone service? if so, yeah I’m sure there are plenty of companies that provide mobile satellite without recharging you an activation fee every month. I would reason a guess and say pretty much all of them, but I would advise reading the fine print, just to be sure. search google for “mobile satellite.” There are tons of companies that provide the service.

if your question is instead: is there a mobile satellite service that is just purely free? No; I highly doubt such a service exists. I would assume that you could obtain free service through whatever means already exist for stationary setups but you would just have to re-aim the dish every time you stopped.

You can purchase an expensive DirecTV connection that you pay for once a year.
